Renowned photographer Nance Ackerman has been taking pictures around
the world for over 20 years. Her photographs have been featured in Time, Newsweek,
Canadian Geographic, New York Times, and Canada's national newspaper, the Globe
and Mail. Her work most recently appeared on the back of Reader's Digest (March
2008). Nance's pictures of First Nations women have been exhibited at the Aperture
Foundation in New York and she has freelanced for the Smithsonian Institution.
With her strong background in capturing people in their indigenous
culture, Nance brings a unique perspective to this project. We believe she will
bring dignity and style to the calendar. Nance is also a former resident of Liverpool.
